What is Target Shooting?

Target shooting has been a popular past time in rural areas throughout the country for many years, and has produced sports men and women who have competed in the discipline at Olympic level. The sport appeals to all ages, and from a wide and diverse background.

What's the legal status of target shooting? How safe is it? Despite heart-felt and often vocal efforts from a small section of society to outlaw the sport enjoyed by thousands, target shooting remains on a solid legal footing. There are of course very valid reasons for restricting the sport to locations that have been properly scrutinised and licensed, and within this environment, the sport can be enjoyed safely by those who choose to participate in it.

Buffalo Target Shooters Association enforces a strict policy of safety first, and all shoots are monitored and supervised by qualified and experienced Range Officers.
